Clean sweep for trainer Andrea Dailly

Andrea Dailly was presented with both the Metropolitan and Provincial Trainer of the Year Awards at the 2017/18 Victorian Greyhound Awards.

A dominant force around the state, Andrea trained 154 full stakes winners at Melbourne tracks The Meadows and Sandown during the 2018 racing season, finishing 54 clear of Robert Britton.

She was also a convincing victor of the Provincial Trainer of the Year with 379 wins, with Mark Delbridge next best on 269.

“I’d like to thank all the people that help us out at the track. All the catchers, the people who handle the dogs for us… like tonight we’ve had friends of ours take our dogs to the track, so I’d just like to thank everybody that helps out,” Andrea said.

“No one could possibly train 100 dogs on their own. It’s just not possible. You’ve got to have all the help in the world. We all get along very well. Korrie, my daughter, Jake, her boyfriend, and now my son Jordan has joined the crew. There’s my brother-in-law Karl, and of course (husband) Tom, (Tom’s twin) George, and another couple of girls that help on the weekend…so it’s a huge, big team.”
