Vale Robert Larsen

Robert Larsen, part owner of 2007 Melbourne Cup winner Shanlyn Prince, sadly passed away last Sunday after a long battle with skin cancer.

Son Shannon Larsen said greyhound racing meant the world to his father.

“He was a part owner for the last 25 odd years of all the ‘Shanlyn’ dogs. His greyhounds were everything to him and he was always at the track to watch them race whenever possible,” Shannon said.

A funeral will be held for Robert Larsen on Friday with the 2007 Melbourne Cup to take pride of place on his coffin.
