Tornado does it again

Victorian-trained stayer Tornado Tears further enhanced his reputation as a champion in the making on Thursday night by shaving another two lengths off Albion Park’s 710m track record, which he broke a week earlier.

Having recorded an electrifying 41.33sec in his Group 1 Gold Cup win on June 14, the Robert Britton-trained Tornado Tears clocked 41.20sec in the four-dog Group 3 Superstayers Invitational two nights ago, defeating his litter brother Rippin’ Sam by three lengths, followed by Queensland pair Jalapeno and Champagne Sally.
