Sale Trackstar Challenge

The Feature event today at Sale is the Sale Trackstar Challenge. It’s an Invitation only race for the greyhounds with the best records from January to June of this year. With a field of 6 to run this year it’s sure to be a cracking race.
Here are my thoughts…

Although Jesaulenko (Box 9) was the 1st reserve, he was my pick if he gained a start. He is the track recorder holder here I think he deserved to be short price favourite if he did gain a start. He is an outstanding dog who is very fast and I believe it didn’t matter what box he had it would have been a very good chance.

Since Jesaulenko didn’t gain a start I expect Aston Sloan (Box 7) to take a stack of beating. He has a tremendous winning record, a flying PB at the track and distance. He loves being drawn off the track and if he can begin at his very best I believe he will be too good for them.

Sandy Monelli (Box 1) has the plum draw and has been racing exceptionally well. From Box 1 she should either be leading or sitting on the leaders back which will set her up for a chance in the straight – she is a major player.

Tigers Rance (Box 2) and Dash of Scotch (Box 4) have been racing well their last few starts without winning and will both need a shade of luck to figure.

Exacta 9 to beat 7. If 9 is scratched 7 to beat 1
