FOUR DOG RACE A ONE ACT AFFAIR

Xylia Allen added another group race to her already glittering career when she emphatically won the Group 3 Macro Meats Shootout at Sandown Park on Thursday night.

Trained by Jenny Hunt, Xylia Allen uncharacteristically speared the lids from box five and ran a scorching first section of 4.97 to clearly lead the field comprised of the fastest four greyhounds in Australia.

Once Xylia Allen jumped to the front it was all over, as the usually strong finisher raced against the clock.

In an ominous predication, kennel representative Joe Briffa, said that Xylia Allen was a little disappointing in her run home and that in the Melbourne Cup heats, the track-record may be in danger.
