Aston Bolero and Chrichton Bale are on track to share in $35,000 bonus prize money attached to the Gippsland Carnival, as they sit on top of the Gippsland Champion Sprinter and Stayer leaderboards respectively.
While Aston Bolero is a clear leader in the sprint stream, Chrichton Bale is under pressure to hold top spot among the stayers, with Aston Harvey looming as a danger.
Aston Harvey, pictured with trainer Eddie Lieshout and wife Mary, trails Chrichton Bale by just one point, and a top four finish in Saturday night’s Victoria Cup could see him take the lead (Note: Chrichton Bale is the first reserve in the same race).
