Driving home the adoption message

MOTORISTS heading outbound from the Kings Way entrance to City Link may have noticed a large billboard towering over South Melbourne asking them to ‘Paws for Thought.’

The billboard, promoting Greyhound Racing Victoria’s Greyhound Adoption Program, will be there for the next four weeks.

GAP’s very own Magenta has featured in the sign, and is pictured ‘roaching’, which is the Greyhound way of getting comfortable!

The billboard is designed to promote the adoption program, and encourage families to consider adopting a greyhound of their own.

The Greyhound Adoption Program is currently in its 20th year and has adopted out more than 6200 dogs in that time.

GAP headquarters are in Seymour, with a Mornington Peninsula base in Baxter; however the program hosts regular ‘adoption days’ at various venues, where all are welcome.

The next Adoption Day will be held in Geelong on Sunday 10 July. Interested people are encouraged to register prior to the day.
