Dalgetty stole the show at Beckley Park on Friday night as eight heats of the Group 2 Geelong Cup were run and won.
A son of the evergreen Stagger who won an unfathomable 64 races in Victoria, Dalgetty clocked a time of 25.317sec, his ninth win from 14 starts.
Dalgetty’s win was almost three lengths superior to the next fastest heat winner, Shared Equity, who was one of four local greyhounds to make the $47,000 to-the-winner final.
Ready 2 Race greyhound Cut Loose Max, NSW raider Paua To Roar and suburban speedster Yeah Whatever were among the other greyhounds to make this Friday night’s final.
