Sandown Park Preview: Maturity Placegetters among National Sprint Contenders

Thursday night racing heads back to Sandown Park with twelve races on the card with the first set for decision at 7.09pm. The five heats of the Nationals highlight the program with the superstar Fernando Bale the draw card.
.
The racing begins with a maiden final over the 515m from heats conducted on Sunday. The supremely impressive Sulzanti looked a potential star on debut when reeling off some exciting sections running a 29.47 overall (Replay). He’ll only need a shade of luck in running early to prove too classy at the finish.
.
I thought the run of Jokowi was solid last week after having no luck at all (Replay). In a slightly easier race I think the Clinton Capuano prepared chaser can run a sneaky race filling a place and hopefully our pockets too. He appears a terrific place chance in a race that could be dominated by Who Dey and It’s A Blast.
.
The mighty Fernando Bale should be winning again in the first heat of the Victorian National Sprint after defeating a star studded field in the Maturity Classic at The Meadows last weekend. In another pretty classy race he should easily account for his rivals as we’ve come to expect from this marvellous sprinter.
.
Throughout the five heats of the Victorian National Sprint we see some fantastic chasers including Ronray SpiritDyna Double OneAbove AllLamia Bale and Dyna Villa so we are in for sensational night of racing with the best in the state going head to head.
.
The last on the program sees Master Tron jumping from the inside alley. The son of Dyna Tron chased home some speedy sprinters in a top race at Shepparton on Monday night (Replay) and with the aid of the rails draw here, I expect him to win. With speed drawn his immediate outside he should follow through into the race and the Ray Henness trained pup should take his win statistics to six for twenty-six.
.
Good luck and happy punting for what should be a sensational night of racing at Sandown Park.
