Calder Cannon’s rapid emergence as a potential topline stayer has seen connections withdraw him from the $10,000 Ready 2 Race Mid Year Bonus Race over 425m at this Friday’s Bendigo Cup night.

Open to the leading prize money earners among the 96 greyhounds sold at the 2014 R2R Sales last November, the field has changed due to the extraction of Calder Cannon and leading prize money earner Adam Sandler (injured).
However, the reshuffling hasn’t been limited to the top eight greyhounds – as the reserves also withdrew due to injury (Zelemar Doll) and travel reasons (Waterfront).
Incidentally, Zelemar Storm secured his place in the field when snaring a $10,000 first prize in a Restricted Win Final (515m) at Sandown Park, which saw him jump into fifth place just two days before the June 20 deadline.
Incidentally, Sisco Wake (pictured) is now the top prize money earner in the field having won in excess of $26,000 since being purchased for just $8,000 at the R2R Sales in November.
