Sandown set to Hum

This Thursday night some of the best of the best come together clashing in heats of the Group 1 Sapphire Crown and Harrison Dawson with the first of 12 at 7.09pm. Now, to be completely honest the first couple of races look extremely hard to punt on with such an incredible depth across all of the racing throughout the night. The positive to this is some top line greyhounds will be going around at some very juicy, large prices.

Humming Birdhill is a greyhound who fits that category perfectly. Lining up in the third race, she is a greyhound that is much better drawn closer to the fence and she gets the opportunity here. Rated a $16 chance to win, I think she will be a terrific place bet around the 4 to 1 a place in the old.

With the likes of Luca NeveelkUsain I’m NuttyKeybow and the flying Fernando Bale lining up in respective races just to name a few, the night is set to be one of the best in a very long time.

Speaking of Fernando Bale, he simply looks like the perfect race dog of late and there no reason he can’t string together yet another win following a breathtaking 29.04 win a fortnight ago (Replay). I’ll be expecting his very fast kennel mate Dyna Double One to be not too far away as he looks to be stringing his racing skills together having now 17 starts under his belt.

Toward to end of the night I’m keen on Ryno’s Raider in Race 11. His Victorian debut last week from box four was solid to say the least over the challenging 595m at Sandown (Replay) and no doubt having another look under race conditions he can go one better and land the prize with a shade of early following a quick beginner drawn his immediate outside.

With the last of 12 at 10.57pm, this is quite simply a race meeting not to miss! Hope to see you there, Good luck and Happy punting.
.

Watch: Fernando Bale (5) winning at Sandown Park on April 23 in 29.04sec.
