CELEBRITY GREYHOUND TO REPRESENT BIG V

Spud Regis, the greyhound named after Danny Frawley, will contest his first feature race final in Adelaide on Thursday at 9:11pm (local time).

A winner of his past three races and seven from 10 overall, Spud Regis will represent the Big V with pride as he eyes a $25,000 first prize in the Group 3 Coca Cola Derby at Angle Park.

Frawley, who has been following the fortunes of the sprinter, is certainly not lacking any confidence leading into tonight’s race.

“Get on now, he can’t be beaten,” Frawley tweeted this week. “Spud Regis - like his namesake, he’s talented and super quick.”

Spud Regis, who is trained by Andrea Dailly for Frawley’s mate Brian ‘Skinny’ Treloar, is rated a $2.70 favourite from box 1.
