Best of the course

Better Than This has taken out the highest honour on the coursing calendar – the 2016 Waterloo Cup at Lang Lang Coursing Club.

With $17,845 up for grabs, trainer Andrew Paraskevas was confident of a good result heading into the Waterloo Cup series which began on Saturday and concluded on Sunday.

“The Waterloo Cup is not something we had on our radar until we had Better Than This. We trial the dogs there to keep them fit and chasing so we use coursing more for education,” Andrew Paraskevas explained.

“It’s been a thrill! He was so good all weekend and now I am just really proud of the dog, especially it was a dog we moved on.”
