The Meadows Preview: Finding a winner on Temlee Night

All roads lead to an incredible night of greyhound racing at The Meadows this Saturday with a staggering three Group 1 Invitationals.

I thought I’d take a look at the superlative support card of Australian Cup Preliminaries.
In the third prelim of the night (Race 3) I’m very keen on Jailor Bale, who has drawn perfectly in box one. The Steven Collins trained chaser gets back to his favourite track and if he can get near his PB of 30.07, I’ll be expecting a victory from this handy sprinter.

Hercules Bale is another from the Collins kennel who seems to go very well at The Meadows. He is drawn well in the two alley and looks a genuine player in the fourth. In a race that doesn’t appear to have a stack of early pace, Hercules Bale should sail through to lead and from there he will be hard to beat.

After a slow start to her career, Alpha Dementer has kicked into top gear with four impressive victories at her past five outings. With the aid of the inside box again, she looks set to repeat the dose as she did a week ago with a  slick 29.86sec all the way win from box one (Replay).

Personally, I’m looking forward to the appearance of Major Jackpot in the tenth race of the night after he produced some flying runs up the straight at Capalaba and also around the bend at Lismore of late. There’s no doubt this will be a fierce rise in grade but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him run a cracking race at a big price.

Mystery Ride looks set to continue his red hot patch of form in the lucky last of the night as he exits the two alley in the final Australian Cup Prelim. If he reproduces his last start B.O.N performance (Replay) he should be returning a winner.

All in all it looks a sensational night of racing so make sure you attend for your chance to win a $45,000 prize just for being on track!
