THE MEADOWS PREVIEW: Eren’s toughest test

Metropolitan greyhound racing kicks off at 7.18pm this Saturday night from The Meadows with 12 races set down for decision.

After an explosive semi-final win in the Warragul Vic Breeders (Replay), Unique Replica makes his city debut at just his fourth start and if his maiden win was anything to go by, he will be winning plenty of metro races. This promising youngster will exit the rails alley and should prove very hard to beat, based on his terrific start to his career.

The unbeaten Eren Bale lines up in race five looking to keep his 100% strike rate intact, as he exits box 7. The young star will need to take a step to the next level as I feel he has drawn awkwardly and he also faces a rise in class. If he can win this I have no doubt he could be something extremely special.

If you’re searching for a bit of value then I recommend a small place bet on Pocket Kings in race seven, from box 1. I think he looks set to gain a nice run in the early part and I’ve got him speed-mapping in the top two until at least the home bend. At double-figure odds he appears a terrific chance to trouble the scorer.

Another member of the smart Bella Infrared x Fyna Bale litter steps out in the tenth race of the night. Drawn box 1,Demon Bale looks set to continue his impressive start to his race career after he powered through the line to score last week (Replay).

The last field of eight is set to be released at 11.04pm – so good luck and happy punting for greyhound racing this Saturday night.
