Waterfront Wows Punters

Waterfront’s stellar win in a 440m Grade 5 at Sale on Sunday certainly took punters by surprise, but not so his trainer Dawn Johnston.

The son of Collision and Weowna Shiraz paid $8.10 for the win, with Johnston stating, “when he jumps and gets in front he usually performs pretty well”.

Johnston also said “he’s a syndicate dog that was bought at the Ready 2 Race Auctions last year in November by Crocmedia.”

The Dr. Turf Syndicate owned dog gives all ten of his owners plenty of excitement. Johnston explained that one of the owners “milks cows so he sends his mother in (to the house) to watch.”

Waterfront has now notched up eight wins, with Johnston confident of many more despite her belief that “punters underestimate him”.
