Life Ban for Anthony Mills

The independent Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board (RADB) disqualified Mr Anthony Mills for life today following a hearing into Mr Mills’ actions at the Tooradin Trial Track.

Mr Mills was charged under LRR 18.5, GAR 86 (af) and GAR 86 (o) at a hearing held on Thursday 4 June.  Mr Mills was found guilty of charges relating to live baiting at that hearing.

The RADB deferred its judgement until today, where Mr Mills was handed a life ban.

In the determination of the penalty, the RADB stated “there can be no place in the industry for persons – particularly of Anthony Mills’ background and repute – who actively participate in this vile practice.”

Mr Mills is the second trainer to be banned for life by the RADB for their actions at Tooradin following the penalty handed to Chris Connolly earlier in June.
