Sandown Park Preview: Ballerino Step

Greyhound racing at Sandown Park this Thursday night has the twelve races set for decision with the meeting beginning at 7.09pm.

We open our punting pockets immediately with Memphis Jookin’ lining up from box two in the first on the card. The son of Comsic Rumble hasn’t drawn an inside box in his last six starts and he could be a dramatic improver from the suitable inside alley. He has got the ability to show brilliant early speed and does portray good box manners when he gets it right so I expect him to be a super chance of winning the first on Thursday night.

The supremely talented Aqua Vitae goes around in the second race, drawn box one over the 595m journey. The Dave Condon prepared chaser possesses the potential to run some extremely impressive times and we saw that three runs back when she jumped to the lead destroying a field over the 515m in a flying 29.37 (Replay). Based on that electric performance, It’s quite simply only bad luck in the run to the first bend that can have her losing here.

Wayne Vassallo seems to have a super strong hold on the ‘Add Us On Snapchat’ Novice final with both It’s A Plane and It’s A Blast, who both dominated in winning their respecitve heats and quite simply they look set to quinella the final.

Ballerino steps up the 595m after a slashing 29.31 win in the grade four over the 515m last week (Replay). Closing off with a 10.54 run home last week, the son of Premier Fantasy and the ultra consistent Come on Luann should have no problem in grinding out the last part of the 595m and I’m expecting an all of the way win.

Weston East appears set to dominate the eighth in what doesn’t appear a super strong FFA event. Drawn ideally off a classy fourth in hot race last week (Replay), the Angela Langton runner should be easily able to assert his superiority with a soft win.

The curtain comes down on racing at 10.57pm and I’m super confident that Igor Karkaroff can send the punters home on a winning note in the last. Good luck and happy punting folks!

Watch: Weston East (3) shows good track sense to run fourth in a hot race at Sandown Park last Thursday and he should find the going easier this week.
