Dyna Villa Scratched from Horsham Cup

Dyna Villa (pictured) has been scratched from Sunday’s $75,000 Horsham Cup. Owner Paul Wheeler asked GRV Stewards for permission to scratch the son of Collision and Roxio Bale from the Group 2 race following the suspension of the greyhounds trainer Nicole Davis after one of Wheeler’s other greyhounds in her care, Graff Bale, returned a preliminary urine sample found to contain amphetamine.

The Wheeler family is in the process of removing all of their greyhounds previously under the care of Davis from the property and finding new trainers for them. Wheeler has sought to scratch all greyhounds that were engaged to race and GRV Stewards approved the scratching and applied a 10-day stand down period for each of those greyhounds.

TAB.com.au markets on the Group 2 Horsham Cup were suspended on Friday morning and were expected to reopen later in the day.
