Meet the Board – Have Your Say

The new Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) Board – Ray Gunston (Chair), Ken Lay and Judith Bornstein – will hold four member forums to hear from industry participants and address current issues in greyhound racing.

These forums are to provide the opportunity for members and greyhound racing participants to express their issues and feedback to the new board in an open and transparent environment. In terms of GRV representation at the forums, only the three new board members will attend.

Four locations have been selected for the forums to endeavour to reach as many members as possible and hear what the industry has to say. These locations are: The Meadows (Metro), Warragul (Gippsland region), Ballarat (Western region) and Shepparton (Northern region)

A date for the Shepparton forum will be communicated to members via the GRV website in the near future.

GRV Chairman Ray Gunston said the Board is keen to work with participants in order to move the sport forward.

“We as a board realise that the most knowledge about greyhound racing is with the members and as such we need to consult widely with the industry to ensure we make the best decisions for the code going forward.

“All three of us (the new Board members) have received some feedback already and we are hoping that through these forums additional information will allow us understand the industry to a greater extent,” he said.

If members are uncomfortable raising issues in a public forum, there will be an opportunity to fill out a feedback sheet at the events. These feedback forms will be kept by the Board and will be addressed individually.

If you have any queries about the member forums please contact the GRV Member Services Department on (03) 83291100 or [email protected]
