Learn From One of the Best

A rare opportunity will present itself at the Healesville greyhounds on Sunday 24 August as leading Queensland greyhound veterinarian Dr. John Kohnke will be conducting a Q & A Seminar.

Trainers and enthusiasts will get the chance to ask Dr. Kohnke about a range of greyhound related topics including diet & nutrition, health & well being, as well as the detection & treatment of injuries.

“We see this as a real coup for Healesville greyhound racing. Dr. Kohnke is one of the most experienced greyhound vets in Australia, and even if trainers go away having learnt one thing from him that will improve their training methods then it’s worth the trip out here,” said Healesville Greyhound Association Acting Manager, Cynthia O’Brien.

Dr. Kohnke’s seminar is open to the general public, and there will be products and hand outs of the latest booklets written and prepared by John on display.

Trainers wishing to race their greyhounds at the meeting, nominations close Wednesday 20 August at 9:00am.

Incidentally, Healesville will also play host to Grandstand Grading on Thursday 28 August leading into the Healesville Cup, which will be run on the 7th (heats) and 14th (final) of September.
