BANJO BLITZ AT CRANBOURNE

Banjo Boy runs them ragged in the 2014 Cranbourne Cup

Banjo Boy (box one – $3.30) brilliantly won the 2014 Ken Hickey Concreting Cranbourne Cup in the stunning time of 30.03 for trainer Ken Virtue.

Coming into the race under an injury cloud, Banjo Boy put all fears to bed at box rise as he bounced straight to the front from box one.

A son of Vee Man Vane and Off Springer, Banjo Boy has been a highly regarded greyhound for much of his career, having competed in the Group 3 Shootout at Sandown Park among a number of impressive victories which have included a 29.01s run at Sandown and a 29.73s run at The Meadows.

After the race, Virtue was full of gratitude to all that have helped him with the greyhound along the way, commenting that the dog has brought his family closer together.
