SERIES MOVES INTO SEMI-FINAL MODE

Youngsters Allen Deed and Shifty Sticka look the greyhounds to beat in the $145,000 Group 1 Silver Chief series after outstanding heat victories at The Meadows last night.

Shifty Sticka, a chaser who has missed a place just once in his 23-start career (fifth in G1 Melbourne Cup), set the time standard on Saturday night with a brilliant 5.08, 17.69 and 29.85 win – seven lengths clear of his nearest rival.
