GSG’s Graeme Chip addresses industry participants at the Warragul Consultation Session

GRV would like to extend a special thanks to all those people that attended the three industry consultation sessions that were held last week at Warragul, The Meadows and Ballarat.

The feedback obtained from the sessions – and the 632 completed surveys – will be extremely valuable in shaping the plan for the next five years. All the ideas are being logged by Growth Solutions Group (GSG) and will be considered in some detail by the Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) Board.

With its consultants, the Board and Senior Management Team at GRV will analyse a large volume of information, including various industry trends and associated risks within the racing industry and other external factors. These factors will be covered in addition to the key matters emanating from the industry workshops, including; grading, animal welfare, integrity, the general promotion of the sport and attracting new participants to be involved in greyhound racing.

GRV is working towards February 2014 to deliver a finalised plan to the industry and will keep participants updated throughout the process.
