PROMOTE YOURSELF IS…NOW!

  
Attention all trainers wanting talented young greyhounds to join your team of greyhounds: Your time is NOW!
 
With the second annual Ready 2 Race series to be held at Bendigo (over 425m) later this month, there is no better time to put your marketing hat on to sell greyhound ownership to potential new owners.

You all know people outside the greyhound industry – so why not approach them about owning a greyhound that you can train for them? I refer to family, friends, friends of friends, acquaintances, local businesses and even sporting clubs.
 
However, before you do this, you may want to have a good think about how you can best sell yourself, because after all, you are asking people to make a financial investment in your expertise.

Many trainers are humble by nature, but it could prove extremely beneficial to think carefully about your training CV? Do you boast a good winning strike rate, have you won any feature races or have you won races with greyhounds that others have written off? Perhaps you average a good amount of winners each year, you train/ed a star greyhound or you won the Trainer of the Year award at your local track.
