BATE HAS ANSWERS IN OAKS

Quiz Bale (Box one – $3.00F) won the Group 2 Solo WA Oaks (530m) at Cannington on Saturday night, taking full advantage of box one in an action packed race.

Trained by Graeme Bate – who played the role of handler on the night – the daughter of Dyna Lachlan x Princess Bale , led comfortably around the first bend while the chasing packed jammed up behind.

Due to the trouble behind, Quiz Bale opened up an unassailable lead and held off the fast finishing local Perfect Poison (Box six – $44.40) to win the feature in a time of 30.49s.
