WINTER CUP HEATS UP

Group 1 racing returns to Albion Park this Thursday night with the heats of the Winter Carnival Cup to be run.

Local hero Glen Gallon will be one of the main attractions in the heats with the son of Flying Stanley aiming to make his 14th group final as he enters the twilight of his illustrious career.

Glen Gallon, the winner of the Winter Cup in 2012, has raced a total of 62 times for 34 wins and 12 placings, having won $518,000 in prizemoney.
