Grigorieva Bale (Box 4) fulfilled his potential when winning the Group 1 Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg (520m) for trainer Andrea Dailly and prolific owner Paul Wheeler.

Sent to the boxes as a rank outsider at $22.40, Grigorieva Bale settled beautifully behind early leader Cracker Jack Lil (Box 1 – $5.60) , while pre-race fancies General Destini (Box 2 – $5.80) and Punch One Out (Box 3 – $2.50F), collided and split the field after the first corner.

Down the back, Grigorieva Bale breezed past Cracker Jack Lil and opened an unassailable lead, streaking to a comprehensive six-length victory in a quick time of 29.65 seconds.
