Cintiarna won the Group 1 Macro Meats Temlee (525m) at the Meadows on Saturday night for trainer Sandra Collins, taking home the $100,000 first-prize.

It was the first Group 1 victory for Collins and the second group victory for Cintiarna as she won the Group 2 Cranbourne Cup last month.

Sent to the boxes as a rank $19.00 outsider, Cintiarna began like a $1.50 shot, exploding from Box 8 to land clearly in front.

Cintiarna was able to break free down the back as the trailing greyhounds bunched up at the first turn.

When the race settled, the Jason Thompson pairing of Boris Fields (Box 4 – $4.70) and Proven Nitro (Box 6 – $4.40) were in hot pursuit of Cintiarna.

Cintiarna continued to power ahead however, and showed the same strength she did in the Group 2 Cranbourne Cup to win in a time of 29.74s.
