ICEMAN VISITS RSN

There was a special guest in the RSN studio on Tuesday when former racer turned pet, Iceman Raikkonen, paid a visit.

Now named Pirate, the distinctive white greyhound with a black-patch over his eye, took all the new experiences in his stride as GRV’s Animal Welfare Manager Linda Beer, and Communications Officer Rick Durham talked to Shane Anderson and the listeners about the Greyhound Adoption Program.

Iceman Raikkonen was trained by Jeff Britton of Anakie and had a stella career, amassing $109,000 from his 106 starts, as well as making the final of the Group 1 Maturity Classic at The Meadows in 2011.

Pirate is currently being fostered and will be avaialble for adoption in the near future.
