VALE NORM SMITH

Norm Smith, a long time security guard at The Meadows, passed away this week aged 58.

A funeral will be held at The Crick Chapel at Fawkner Cemetery on Thursday 14th June at 12:00pm with a wake to follow at The Meadows.

“Norm had a way with people and was a doyen of security personnel,” said Marg Long, General Manager at The Meadows.

“He made friends wherever he went and he absolutely loved The Meadows.”

Born in Northern Ireland, Norm arrived in Australia in 1974 before marrying Lorraine in 1979 with whom he had six children.

He was an owner and trainer of greyhound for more than 30 years.
