BENDIGO’S HIGH-FIVE

The Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association, in conjunction with local radio station 3BO FM, will host a “Cheer The Five For Kids” month , raising funds the Give Me 5 For Kids Charity.

Various promotions are taking place throughout the month at 3BO in their annual fundraiser for the GM54K charity and the BGRA have jumped on board to help out where possible.

A special racing vest will be worn by the number five runner in each race at Bendigo throughout the month of June that carries the GM54K logo and the BGRA will donate $55 to the Charity for each number five runner that is victorious at Lord’s Raceway for the month of June.

The Club and 3BO FM will host a Give Me 5 For Kids raceday on Friday June 29, with 3BO’s “Balls’n’All” Sports Show broadcasting live from the track on the day and the month will conclude with a charity ball at Chasers Function Centre on Friday June 30.

“The BGRA were only too pleased to assist 3BO in their GM54K fundraising efforts for the month of June and when contacted by Ben Jones and Hollie Driscoll about being involved we jumped at the opportunity” said BGRA General Manager Troy Harley.

“It’s great to be able to support charities and especially a charity like GM54K with the monies raised going to the local children’s ward for the purpose of assisting seriously ill children. We’ll be cheering home the yellow (number five) all month and looking forward to hosting the fundraising race day and ball at the end of the month” added Harley.
