WHAT A LADY!

Up and coming stayer Crafty Lady [$10.10] stamped herself as a greyhound to watch when winning the Group 2 Globe Memorial [720m] at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.

Crafty Lady loomed large at the half way mark along with fellow Victorian Echelon, with the pair looking ominous from their midfield positions.

However, Echelon ran into the rear of the leaders just as he looked set to tear the race apart, leaving Crafty Lady with the perfect sit.

Crafty Lady, who is trained at Devon Meadows by Wayne Vassallo, collected a $40,000 first prize.
