RECORD TUMBLES AGAIN

Two nights after Heston Bale smashed Sandown Park’s 515m track record in just his second start, boom youngster Cape Hawke has lowered it again.
 
Heston Bale’s 29.14sec gallop was pipped by the narrowest of times, with the Jamie Ennis-trained Cape Hawke clocking 29.13sec.

NOTICE OF TRACK WORKS
 
Participants are advised that scheduled track works conducted at Sandown Park on Monday 19 September are expected to have a significant impact on times for subsequent trail sessions and race meetings. 

The works involved the grading of the track and the addition of fresh track sand.
