* When using a meeting code (eg: TRA18SEP04) there are no spaces
** The keyword RESULT{n} also has no spaces between RESULT and race number
In all situations, the keyword precedes either a greyhound name or a track code. The track abbreviation codes for each race track is shown in the table above and is followed by the meeting date (format = DDMMMYY). - no spaces. eg, Sandown on the 26th August 2004, the meeting code is SAN26AUG04.
Each Victorian race meeting will go through 4 cycles of data refresh (as shown below). These updates will be made as consistently as possible with scheduled times, however, cannot be guaranteed so please allow adequate time for these updates to be made before making your request.
#1 BOX-DRAW - Immediately following the box-draw of each meeting
#2 TIPS & QUAD - After form-analysis work is completed, the TIPS and QUAD suggestions are updated. This usually occurs about 3-hours after the box-draw
#3 SCRATCHING - After Scratchings at 9:00am on the morning of the race meeting
#4 RESULTS - After the results are finalized at 9am the morning following the race meeting
As each cycle is processed a corresponding number will appear at the beginning of each response, eg: #3 means scratchings have been processed, therefore, if you want to know whether a dog gained a start through scratchings, send a text request with keyword DOG and your response will indicate whether the greyhound received a start.
