In 1958, Bill Pearson formed the company Greyhound Form (Gold Guide) but little did he know that 50 years on his family's business would still be a major part of the industry. The Gold Guide, which was created and developed by Bill, is considered by the masses to be the bible of the greyhound industry. This was particularly true during the halcyon days of the 1970s and 1980s when the form and the punt were paramount. Bill was also responsible for establishing Greyhound Tabform in 1996 and National Greyhound Form in 2002 which is Melbourne's only dedicated greyhound newspaper. There is no doubt that Bill Pearson has played a key role in the success of the greyhound industry as it is today.
