Fred Booth was considered to be the doyen of Victorian studmasters. He stood sires for over 50 years and had the leading stud establishment during the sport's halcyon days of the 1970s. He stood the likes of Venetian Court, Black Diro, Busy Duke, Half Your Luck and Dashing Eagle. Living most of his life in the Cranbourne area, Fred served 11 years on the Cranbourne GRC committee.
