The queen of the staying ranks during the 1970s, Lizrene won an amazing 23 races at Olympic Park and 22 races at Sandown Park during a stellar career. Her finest hour arrived when she won the 1973 Victorian Greyhound of the Year award. Lizrene was loved by her legion of Victorian greyhound fans and displayed her versatility by finishing third in the 1971 Melbourne Cup over the sprint trip.
