Head Honcho had an amazing record on the racetrack with 18 wins from 20 starts. It is his performance as a stud dog that he will be remembered. A champion sire, he won the Victorian Sires' Premiership six times and in 1999 he sired 249 Victorian metropolitan winners, which is a record. His sons have been quite successful at stud, most notably overseas, through the deeds of Top Honcho who has redefined the greyhound breeding industry in both Ireland and England.
